Grin Good one Staffan! We actually got a scanner recently and I have been enjoying getting some old pics from Ireland and Switzerland up that were taken in the 1980's. Now my Cropredy pics I took this year will go in the box, and maybe 20 years from now if this thread is still going  Grin I can put them on!

This might give me the incentive I need to get a slide scanner.

Depending how particular you are about the results maybe try this : -
I just did some old slides by making a light box contraption out of white cardboard with an open top. An accurately cut slide sized hole in front, a B&Q cheapo tungsten angle poise hanging over the top, my digital camera on mini tripod focused on the illuminated slide - BINGO.
I made a few modifications, set up a shield above the slide to avoid direct light and tried Macro settings - The results were surprisingly good but I only had 30 or so slides to convert.

UNfortunately I have 1,000's of slides,

Your local camera club may have a slide scanner you can borrow. My local club has one that will process 4-6 slides a minute.

Nice photos  Smiley

There's only 2 real possibilities - '87 and '89, I think.  *scratches head*

It was the year Ian Anderson guested. If I have time I will dig some more out.

I think Le Roux were there as well. (Other (and more correct) spellings are available.)

I think you are correct Staffan. I think it was our first year. I wish I had bought one of those rugby shirts now.

My 1st year too.
Fantastic line up half of which I don't remember (beer).
I didn't get a shirt either due to being skint. Sad

Same reason for me.  Smiley

It was a cracking line up though. I have always admired Gordon Giltrap.

So do I! While we were travelling around Britain by rail and rucksacks, the merchandise shopping was restricted to a maxi single "Meet on the Ledge", a T-shirt and a sweatshirt. The T-shirt and sweatshirt had a -to me - amusing logo but due to the sweatshirt being in a colour that makes my face look sick - green as the grass - I haven´t worn it much. Wink
The logo could very well be recycled or revived on similar items of today as far as I´m concerned. Grin

These are from a very refreshing New Years Eve at the Half Moon Putney, 1983. I think we PARKED OUTSIDE!

I remember spilling Young's Special down Cathy Lesurf's tights; she was very nice about it and I only had to buy her one double gin. My better half capped this by sitting in a vodka & tonic which was nice. After the gig we crashed out at somebody's "pad" (man) and carried on with the red wine for some time before retiring.

Anyway here's the support act who I think was Mike Maran - didn't write on the neg sheet so i'm not certain.
