Did everyone see this cryptic message on the official site today ?

"Expecting a Full House at Fairport Towers this afternoon. "

I wonder......

Possibly a pre-tour get-together for band & crew?.....maybe including reheasal time too?

Bit early for a Full House lineup rehearsal for Croppers though, isn't it?

Or possibly, with Fairport Towers full of boxes of Festival Bell CD's, it was all hands to the pump stuffing Jiffy bags

Then why spell it with an uppercase F and H and make it sound so enticing?  But, no, you're probably right.

I'm not sure whether you're suggesting she's dead (she isn't) or she doesn't do the Taggart theme any more (I haven't got a clue)?  Smiley

The latter.

She certainly is well alive and out gigging regularly with Dave Kelly.

AS did I. Stone The Crows with Les Harvey before he fried. They would have been good at Cropredy.

I still think there are few finer artists, guaranteed (almost) to wow any audience, than the Space Captain himself, Joe Cocker...

Now there is an artiste who, imho, has destroyed every ounce of credibility he ever had.  His choice of material and 'sound' over the last, what, 35 years is enough to destroy even the greatest of legacies.

But, if you can guarantee me, he'll play nothing he's recorded after '75, I'm in......   Wink

I could happily do without the singing gas fitter, but Rolf Harris would be great as the Thursday headliner - he's 81 this year and still does a great festival set so I'm told.

maggie bell doesnt sing the taggart theme tune anymore, i watched it the other night and it was the same song but a new and quite different recording,i.e. Not maggie Bell

i saw stone the crows and she wasnt that brilliant, she wasnt a janis joplin after whom she had certainly based her style. IMO the best thing she did was every picture tells a story with Rod Stewart(back in the days when he wasnt the old f**t hes tuned into)

For amusement value, perhaps, but after his three legs, two little boys and a boomerang, there's not a lot left to savour...

Are you kidding ?  I saw him at Glasto in '94, he was fantastic.  Believe me, Cropredy would love him Smiley

I'm with Goaty here. Rolf gets a lot of stick because of his novelty hits, but there's a lot more to him than them.
