Tickets booked for Hereford, 14th May. They're going fast, apparently. Hope it's a sell-out; they may be back before another 36 years are up.  Smiley

The Kendal gig, which was due to happen on May 12th, seems to have fallen off the list.  Sad Sad Sad

well that was very very good.  Great night Thanks you Fc, who were on great form, despite it  being the first night, if they hadn;t mentioned it you would not have known.  Sound at Didcot is first class.

Red and Gold was my stand out number, Simons vocals were ace, also enjoyed Rocky Road,

Still a few tickets left for Fairport at The Courtyard in Hereford. Last time they appeared in Hereford Harold Wilson's Labour Party was governing with a minority; after talks between the Tories, under Edward Heath, and the Liberals had failed to agree any terms, following the Election in Feb 1974. Heath resigned and Labour ruled until Oct when another Election was called.

Different names, same result  Undecided

Cheers Nigel

Hiya, just 18 tickets left for Canterbury on 27th May. This is a very beautiful venue in the precincts of the Cathedral, which is stunningly beautiful in the Spring sunshine along with all the cherry blossom.  Any takers before they go?

last night (5th may) the show at the Watermark in Ivybridge , devon was absolutely marvellous. In 40 years of seeing fairport at all sorts of venues i have never heard them sounding so good. They were all  on top form musically and humorously. If anyone out there is dithering about going to see them, trust this old man and go do it!! Thanks to "the chaps" for coming to Devon, and thanks to the Watermark for booking them!!

Fairport came to Rainworth in Notts for the very first time last night (though this was the 4th time they'd played for Farnsfield Acoustic).

What a magnificent night we had.. they were on top form.. the set list was very much what we've come to expect from the acoustic tours with many gems (I wanted to write the titles down but somehow I didn't manage it).

The venue itself is one we are enjoying too.. we don't have to move chairs here and there's good parking!

Just one blip.. when I tried to do the raffle without the tickets!

Thanks Fairport... you are wonderful  Kiss

It was indeed a brilliant night  Grin

Yesterday I was tired, a bit tetchy because of builders/dad (sorry people Embarrassed)  and maybe not really in the mood for a gig  Embarrassed

About halfway through the first song, I found the tension and irritation drain away, and I just got lost in the music. Suddenly things were in perspective again Smiley and I felt fine.

Thanks chaps - I love the music, and you really make me smile  Kiss

Probably going to St Helens tomorrow night, although haven't booked or checked ticket availability yet.

Having never been to a Fairport Acoustic gig before, can anyone give me an idea of the set list?

Is it the full line-up, ie, with Gerry on drums (or percussion)?

Ta!
