It's on their website....

I've been looking for directions recently. How far out of Lincoln is it roughly?....and I assume the theatre is in a school complex?

If you are approaching Lincoln from the SW on the A46, carry straight on the A1434 as the A46 becomes the north outer ring road. It's about a third of the way from the A46/A1434 junction and the city centre.

Thanks M25 for posting the directions/map.

Just found out that Mike Gregory can't play that gig..  Gerry Conway will be drumming that night.

With a season at the National Theatre no less....

The Portsmouth gig was an absolute cracker....superb playing off each other, improvisation at it's (insert superlative!) cracking best....over two hours of music that you couldn't not listen in awe too.

As Gerry is doing both, I'm going to get to at least one of these two upcoming gigs. The nailsea gig may be sold out though...

RSG North Hykeham

What can I say re the RSG …  each time I see this group they just get better and better and last night was no exception!

Gerry Conway depped for Michael Gregory and we had the very welcome addition of Fred Thelonious Barker on bass. He came along thinking he was to play on a couple of tunes and was roped in to playing all evening, adding a whole new layer to the experience.

I didn’t catch names of tunes.. many I recognised but there were a few new to me.  This is the closest I’ll probably get to a jazzy gig.. but with Ric’s group you never really know what they will play next.  Ric said they like to improvise.. ”If we don’t know what’s coming next we can’t bugger it up!”

The music was superb, taking you from a desert island to jigging about at Cropredy.. all in one key change! Then there was Vo’s song.. The Bridge.. that’s what I call it.. officially it’s called Don’t Look Away…  very powerful.. I could really picture Fairport covering it.. it really rocked last night.. well we did have two fifth’s of Fairport playing it. (If you read this Simon please reconsider!)

There were very few people in the audience that I knew, which is increasingly rare these days.  We sat with Delphini who had travelled 70 miles for this gig and she was very happy to have done so. The band plays at Nailsea tonight and again at Farnsfield in March (blatant plug.. sorry!)

Thanks Ric and Vo for the music Kiss Kiss Kiss

Surely "The Bridge" is in the same area as "Meat and Two Veg", so you wouldn't play both in one evening.
